Garden Competition 2008 Winners! (06-08-08) Judging of the 2008 Ripponden Parish Garden competition took place in the latter half of July. Some wonderful gardens and containers were on display (especially given the weather this summer!) More... Dean Head Church Organ Recital (30/06/08) On 14th September at 2.30pm there will be an organ recital with guest players. All are welcome. Rushbearing (30/06/08) This year's rushbearing will be 6th and 7th September. The rushcart will end at St Bartholomew's Church Ripponden at 5.30pm when a Songs of Praise service will take place. All are welcome. Flower Festival 5th - 7th September (30/06/08) St Bartholomew's Church in association with Ripponden and Villages in Bloom have orgainsed a flower festival in the church for the weekend of Rushbearing. More... Children's Day (30/06/08) Due to inclement weather in June this has been postponed to 13th September. Michaelmas Show 13th September 2008 (30/06/08) This year's Michaelmas Show is being held on Saturday 13th September in the Conservative Club Ripponden. More... Civic Dinner 2009 (30/06/08) This year's Civic Dinner is to held on March 14th 2009 at The Venue, Bowers Mill, Barkisland 7pm. Tickets are available from the clerk at the Parish Council Offices.
